Accomodations:

We have a special arrangement with the Outpost Motel (500 ft. from windcradle).

Available rooms are either doubles or singles.

Guest house at WindCradle is also a double with half bath. (Shower in the house).

Accompanying partners and/or families will find much to do in the area. They will be encouraged to join us for bonfires and Compline on the beach and for our final Eucharist.

Group Rentals

WindCradle for group retreats (such as vestry or church boards, prayer shawl knitting ministry groups, book groups, etc.) offers the following:

  • Two main meeting spaces (with lake view and fireplace/wood burning stove).
  • Easy access to the beach and The Superior Hiking Trail.
  • Kitchen facilities with various options: groups could cook their own meals, use WindCradle's caterers, eat out locally or some combination.
  • Sauna, meditation house, massage available for guests.
  • Sleeping arrangements: WindCradle has a special arrangement with the Outpost Motel (500 feet from WindCradle); guests could arrange their own accommodation at local inns and lodges.
  • Groups might like to arrange for a WindCradle group facilitator or input from a WindCradle retreat leader.
  • Guiding for a day trip into the BWCAW or a hike on the Superior Hiking Trail.

Wilderness Guide Service

If your group would like to arrange for a Guided Wilderness Retreat into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, please contact WindCradle. Group size is limited to eight, plus guide.



Massage and Spiritual Direction also available at a small extra charge.


Facilitator:

$375 (for 5 sessions)


Retreat Leader:

$750 (for 5 sessions and preparation)


Wilderness Guide Service:

$300 (for 4 hours)

Participants are encouraged to stay longer in the area and to enjoy the Superior Hiking Trail, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the quaint town of Grand Marais or a course at the North House Folk School.
