Spiritual Direction: Walking into New Life

Sometimes life deals us a tough hand, and we find ourselves overwhelmed by a sense of pain and betrayal. Good-hearted friends want to “fix things” – push us to “get over” a divorce, an empty nest or miscarriage, to “forgive and forget” in the midst of our very real feelings of grief and rage. Or we begin to feel like we are demanding too much from a friend or pastor.

A companion on the way – someone who will listen, hold a space open for feelings, ask pertinent questions – can help us to process, heal, and even begin to find God’s grace in our loss. Episcopal priest, spiritual guide, writer and founder of WindCradle Retreat, Mary Ellen Ashcroft, would like to walk that path with you or someone you care about. Face-to-face or voice-to-voice– she will help you through transitions and tough times.

Individual Spiritual Direction – sessions scheduled twice a month for one hour. After an initial session, directees are asked to commit for a year of direction ($40 per session).

Group Spiritual Direction – sessions scheduled in February, March, April, May and June. Focused on loss, life transitions, or shifting sense of call. Location TBA. These groups can be in addition to individual spiritual direction or stand alone ($30 per session or $125 for all five).
